This plan addresses the needs of our students?

The Department of technology services (DoTS) is seeking comments on a new three-year strategic plan, technology – a bridge to excellence.

In May 2010, the Department of technology services embarked on a strategic planning process for the development of a strategic plan for technology to create strategic alignment of technology with excellence for all three years.? The 2011? technology plan 2013, technology – the bridge to excellence, is based on the work begun in the previous plan, as well as on the model of national educational technology plan of an environment of 21st century learning powered by technology, the Office of the Superintendent of public instruction 2009 "educational technology plan for K-12 public schools in Washington State and the State educational technology Directors Association" class of 2020: Action plan for education ".

There are six focus areas:

Performance of students and the results: "How do we use information technology to improve teaching and learning experience?Innovation and transformation: "How can we use technology to change the way we develop and offer services and programs?"Planning and governance: "How can we use and effectively leverage taxpayer dollars to ensure good value for our spending on technology?"Leadership and development "What do we do to ensure learning, change and improvement of organizational performance?"Access and collaboration "How can we involve the whole Community in supporting and strengthening the system of school?"Performance and accountability "Where we excel, and how we may use data to make sound decisions and measure the performance"?

The six focus areas together offer a strategy for using technology as a vital tool to allow the district to get significant gains over the next three years to lay the foundations for the classroom activities and transformational operational improvement, now and in the future.

We have engaged more than 300 interested in developing this plan and now we need validation that we've captured their requirements in this document. The foundamental question we're asking is, this plan to meet your needs? Please take a look and comment below.
