Mobile project learning opportunity

Posted by Harvey in April 15, 2011 grants

The team of Instructional Technology is interested in identifying technology tools and instructional techniques that lead to the transformation of practice and improvements in student learning outcomes. We believe that the student greater access to mobile computing devices can play an important role in the transformation.

To this end, the team of Instructional Technology is offering a learning opportunity for some pilot classrooms in Seattle public schools that focuses on the role of iPods and iPads in the classroom. During the academic year 2011-12 it staff will learn with classrooms-riders as they use your iPod touch or iPad cars with their students.

Teams of teachers from Seattle Public Schools programs are encouraged to submit project proposals. Participating teams will be selected through a competitive process. The selected projects will be supported with a professional development workshop in the summer of 2011, Instructional Technology support for the year 2011-2012 and an iPad or iPod touch mobile learning cart with a set of classrooms of devices.

More information on the project are available in the application package. project of mobile learning application package
