Announcement of Google TV Deal with Dish Network may have opened the door to advertisers who may have thought television was beyond their budgets. Late night TV positioning was generally quite reasonable for access to local markets, but now Google brings big hits as "Mad Men", "Real Housewives" and "Rubicon" in the game. Traditional television advertising are expensive to produce and even more expensive to run, but with new technologies and smaller firms, boutique video production costs have decreased significantly. It remains to be seen whether the rod system actually Google brings the cost down, or if the rapidly escalating prices beyond the reach of non-traditional TV advertisers.
To my mind better television networks bring together their acts and get your head out of the clouds, if they want to stall the inevitable migration of public YouTube video programming on the big screen plate attached to a Play Station-like device and Internet connection. So why aren't more companies having branded content and entertainment programming designed to promote their activities? The TV networks with their desire to save money with reality TV programming cheap rich product placement has opened the door to acceptance of Web-based content. Every business has to do is overcome their old ideas of what advertising is, and get into a mindset of creative content more favorable audience.
