Finally after many mis-starts and debacles product social media, Google gets their social networks, offering down right. The Downside, there is no reason to call it "plus" is simply a catchup.
Google has learned from failed attempts
Historically Google has been complacent when it comes to social networks, not realizing how fast Facebook will grow many years ago, innovations in this category of lackluster. Against the backdrop of several attempts, most unsuccessful (see chronology of failed attempts to Google), there is hope with yesterday. In previous launches their efforts were just copies of Facebook (+ 1 vs how) or struggled with too much complexity (wave) and privacy woes (see my additional analysis on Google vs Twitter Facebook).
Nevertheless, strikes the right balance with Google +
Though I only spent a few hours cruises throughout the past efforts of Google, "Google + 1, I found myself strangely comfortable with the feature set. Groups (now called "Circles"), a wall with cascading microfeed, chat tools, commenting tools. In particular, has been careful to develop "action" feature that makes it crystal clear at what range or even in public places, which you will be able to share information. In the past about how the information will be disclosed miffed Google and Facebook. Being late adopter gave Google the advantage they had several mistries where Facebook fell, and set the correct function.
But offers no justification for the migration from Facebook ... yet
Nevertheless, despite the familiar combination of functionality and structure of the layout of the site, it looks like a bare bones version of Facebook (minus the excessive ads, app yesterday tabs and confusing user interface). As a result, I don't see how this differs from Facebook. There is one saving grace that could make this unique tool, Google "Sparks", which is a conversation starter around the various topics that could use the search function and Google media while only in its first week, I'll reserve final judgement, but there is no compelling reason why someone would go to Google + after creating their social networks on Facebook.
Bottom line:
When it comes to features, Google to Facebook, but not convincing for mass immigration social behavior. They must quickly integrate unique products to Google's YouTube, Gmail, applications, and other slow draw users over.
